We will be hosting an intro to data science crash course for people who already have some programming background.

This is best for those who can code and want to learn a bit more about data science and how to get started!

Data scientist George Radescu, CTO of Epigno, will be talking about generic tools and frameworks (though mainly focusing on Spark) and using them for ETL (extraction, transformation, and load), modeling, and deployment.

About the Speaker: George Radescu

George is currently the CTO of Epigno Systems, a small B2B medical startup in Japan.

A telco engineer by profession, George used to design, integrate and test mobile networks. During those years, he was handling lots of data used for troubleshooting system issues and at the same time design better functional tests.

His love for data drove him to join a Data Science bootcamp, which after graduation, landed him a position as Data Scientist/Engineer at a big Japanese telecom operator.

He's in love with distributed computing and Spark framework and strongly believes in technological singularity.
